Waterman Edson Sapphire Blue!

Finally acquired the altogether lovely Waterman Edson Sapphire Blue! This example is white glove perfect. And my pen budget is just now recovering after several months of abstinence. But I am not complaining...much!

Very nice. My favorite blue fountain pen is the Jim Gaston Sheaffer Cobalt Blue Legacy. IIRC only 100 of this color were made. There were four Jim Gaston Legacy fountain pen styles, the Cobalt blue, a Lined Gold, a Matte Black and a Brushed Copper. The other three were made in slightly higher number, either 300 or 400 I think.

Never heard of them, but they are gorgeous!

Always learn from you Jim!

I wanted to add that these pens are tough to find in excellent condition.

The frosted gold caps and the cobalt barrels are susceptible to marring and scratches. Expect to pay a premium for top-condition examples. This one took me about 4 years to find. Worth the effort!
