When did Daytonas start getting AR anti reflective dials?

I have a 2019 white dial 116500. I know the AR thread well. It’s hard to tell the double circle in the LEC. My dad is getting his black dial 116500 in 2 days via grey. Thanks OCwatchguy! It’s a 2017. I looped the LEC briefly and didn’t quite catch the answer.
What year did the Daytona get AR under the glass?

There's really a lot of conflicting info on this. Until we get a thread going of pics of LECs, I think it's going to be tough to narrow down.

AR under the glass came in randomly, some say in 2021. '17 definitely won't have it.

Should not deter a prospective buyer from buying imho, but is cool nonetheless

The data points I have is my 2019 (Around March is when the store got it) 116503 doesn’t have ar.

My Dec 2021 116500 does and my 116505 April 2022 of course does.

Perfect pic of the ar glass like from this article

https://nobswatchmaker.com/blog/how-...ective-coating

I just checked mine and the crown tips are cleans and discernible but the bottom is a hosh posh mess. Doesn’t have the 2 clean circles like yours.

Edited: ok just finally saw it! Head on it has the double rings. Just like the pic in this thread. So I can confirm white dial May 2019 has AR.

Are all replacement sapphire crystals now AR even if the watch originally didn't come with them?

Rolex will replace a non ar if the watch came that way. Now when they run out of non ar they will replace with ar .

My 2021 black face is much more clear looking then my 2017 one if i'm not wrong. Both 116500LN. I guess it has something to do with crystal. Updated maybe?

Not a Daytona, but, fwiw, either RSC or an AD replaced my 2009’s Explorer crystal with an AR crystal. I bought it used from an AD:

I love Daytona's but not that much to keep two of same models :)

I sold the one i bought in 2017 then i got another one lately which is 2021. I might be wrong but as far as i can remember old one (2017) has a little more reflections on crystal than this one.

My friend has one guess its 2017 or 18, i'll take some pics when i see him. I also want to see side by side now.

A bad closeup of my dad’s 2017 116500LN. It seems to have AR as well

So we didn’t get the 2017 black Ceramic Daytona. But I did loop it today and can confirm this 2017 Daytona steel ceramic had the 2 rings in the LEC depicting under dial AR. We’re actually getting my dad a 2022 model tomorrow!

I thought all ceramic SS Daytona models had AR at their introduction in 2016.
