The movement in the SKX007 is exactly the same as the Monster. I have the SKX007 and it's very accurate. If you're looking for something that can take a beating then both are a good choice. And don't worry about the strap on the 007 - just switch it out.

Just to complicate matters, there's always the Seiko SKZ255. It's a Seiko 5, and therefore aimed at a slightly different market. I've got one on a Nato strap with PVD hardware and it looks just perfect. That runs a 7S36 movement, basically the same as the '26 but up-jewelled a bit.
