Just got my recently purchased 1675 back from my watchmaker. It was gaining 30 seconds per day when I got it - after servicing and regulating it is now operating at + 1.5 seconds per day (not bad for a 31 y.o. watch). Watch has original crystal, dial, hands, bracelet and bezel according to my watchmaker. The previous owner replaced the bracelet with a jubilee, but it was badly stretched. Luckily he kept the oyster bracelet which polished up nicely. I came to the conclusion after speaking with several people, including Bob Ridley, that sending to a RSC may not be the best idea. I was able to find a local watchmaker who works for some of the local AD's at a very good price. I'm very pleased with the purchase and how everything turned out.

Very nice watch, I just bought one like that. Please post some more pictures of the watch if you have time, really would like to get some good picture of the bracelet, endlinks and clasp if you can.

I'm still wearing my circa 1979 Pepsi GMT Rolex... as for the time gain or loss... a shop here in Portland Oregon, USA "Alex & Co Jewelers Watchworks" are sellers of new and vintage Rolex's... have one of the few machines used to calibrate any Rolex time piece... I had it done when the watch stopped working... (rotor screw for the self winding movement came loose) It's well worth keeping the watch and looking into having that done...

1.5+ seconds per day is outstanding and a true testament to the quality of the model, especially 30 years down the track.

That kind of accuracy and reliability would be the envy of every car manufacturer in the world, and remember the engine on cars isn't going 24/7
