WG Pepsi (blue dial) availability

Seeing these approach msrp right now on FS section.

any thoughts on if/when PM watches in general will once again become more available from an AD?

I was in a tourist hot spot in South East Asia recently and they had one on display. It was beautiful on the wrist, but out of my 'holiday impulse buy' price range. When I inquired if it was for sale, the response was somewhat cryptic - along the lines of 'not if current people who have expressed interest before you would like to purchase it'. I got the impression that, if I had had the cash burning a hole in my pocket, they would have done a ring around and if no one had said yes, given me the call shortly thereafter.

One data point, but might suggest that a full PM Pepsi is not as hot as it once was.

Hard question to answer when Rolex distribution is frustratingly random.

WG Pepsi (blue dial) availability

My local AD when I have expressed interest in 3 watches.

1. BLRO. “There is a 200-year waiting list for this watch. Let me know if you’d like to be added to the list.”

2. BLNR. “Unfortunately, this watch is reserved for our most important customers. But I’m guessing you already knew that.”

3. WG Pepsi. “Mr. Lococco, it’s wonderful to hear from you! How have you and Mrs. Lococco been? I was just thinking about you. This is an excellent timepiece. I would love for you and Mrs. Lococco to stop by and we can discuss availability. Again, it is really great to hear from you and thank you so much for reaching out to me. Talk soon!”

Based on this small sample size, I have concluded that the WG Pepsi May be easier to get than the stainless steel GMTs.

I’ve been waiting for 7 months so far for mine from my AD. I think the main issue for AD availability is the supply of this reference is pretty small. On the demand side, I see it as more of a “connoisseur’s” watch so the demand will likely only be a small fraction of its SS cousin.

absolutely should be available with a very short wait

if you can't get one, your AD either doesn't care about selling to you, or their allocation sucks.

I was recently offered one but it’s no on my list so I denied, hard to say no, but too much dough for one watch.

Ask your AD, and I love that version the best! Jubilee and Oyster for it so you have both :)

I got the call for a Pepsi on Jubilee in 2019, and it easily became one of my favorite SS models. However, before leaving the boutique I was shown the WG Pepsi and loved it so much I ended up taking it home too.

I've seen plenty of both models at my AD but due to the price and minor physical differences of the WG Pepsi, I imagine there is less demand for it. I would also assume the secondary market's fluctuation in price would reflect its demand.

Don't believe so. When I asked for mine, it didn't take long, and that was last year end. I imagine everyone is too focused on the meteriorite version. I, for one, am quite fond of the blue dial. It's unlike any other blue dial I've seen.

Just saw one at the Wynn AD in Vegas.
Meanwhile other shady ADs are still trying to play the hype game.

Probably not hard. I got mine nov 2020 with a one month wait from an AD I had never purchased from before.

This was offered to me from a Rolex boutique just a few months ago. I seriously considered it, but declined.
