Rehaut Alignment - OP41
I just noticed today that the alignment from the dial and rehaut are alittle off on my OP41.
Is this normal? Worth potentially getting fixed?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not worth the hassle the rehaute is part of the case so cannot move, but the dial has a tiny bit of lateral movement both ways when dial is attached to the movement top plate. And that fraction of a mm so called alignment will not effect the running of your watch. Afraid today loupes high magnification can and often will be a new Rolex owners worst enemy. So just forget about it just wear your watch with pride and in good health, now thats far more important than a fraction of a mm.

It’s common.
The rehaut is part of the case. When the movement is installed there is always a little play on the screws. At Rolex they don’t care so perhaps you should let it be as is

Same on my SD4k.
I've come to accept that even on expensive watches there are Assembly Tolerances and sometimes it is not right on spot. Old models didn't have this ROLEX-ROLEX-ROLEX on the rehaut, that was maybe better as there was no way to see this slight misalignment ^^ I have a 12h marker slightly off on my Seamaster also. After 2 months i'm starting to accept it ahah |

As long as it's the engraving that's off, as opposed to the dial being off center, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Remember: it was intended as an anti-counterfeiting measure, not a set of indexes by which to keep time.

It’s the dial that’s slightly off center. The cases are laser engraved, very unlikely they are off.
I wouldn’t touch it OP. You’re opening up a can of worms and it could return with dust under crystal/dial, scratched case/bracelet, poor time keeping, etc. A few of watches have a slightly off center dial and it bothered me at first, but then I realized how common it is. |

As above. It happens and it's not rare. TBH I don't know how many of mine are in perfect alignment. I've never checked. I can't see without a bright light and magnification and I don't look.

Did you buy it from an AD or online? If from an AD you have nothing to worry about

It’s like 50/50 it’s perfectly aligned. So fairly normal.

Also: could be the angle you’re looking from, and the fact that the reflections are further off center and distorting how we see it.

Pretty common, and certainly not worth cracking the case open for.
And if it's still on your mind in 10 years time you could always ask for it to be looked at when service time comes around. (The watch will be entirely dismantled then anyway, but you can ask them to pay specific attention to aligning it.... if you even remember it's an issue by then!)
