I didn’t want diamonds and the hash felt a little busy to me so this was a perfect compromise.

Who needs jume when you got baguettes to help you see the time?! Mine has neither, haha! Looks like I’ll need to wear another piece if I plan to read the time in low/no light situations

Finally joined the club. Love the size, looks and weight of the DD2. 41mm is just the right size 😀 For me just as much a sportswatch as a dresswatch. Works in any situation. Also got the roman ice blue dial and the blackput dial to change it up when I feel like it later.

DD2 218206 no factory diamond bezel was available. I can confirm because I put in a formal request at Rolex Centre and they told me not available.

Diamond bezel only available for 18KYG 18KPG and 18KWG only.

Is 228396 Plat DD with the diamond baguette bezel and baguette makers rare to come by?

I don’t remember the current, 40mm 228xxx series having the limited options of embellishments that the short-lived 41mm 218xxx “DD2” models.

218XX6 ie 41mm PT DD2 had no diamond bezel option available.
228396TBR ie 40mm current PT DD40 has factory diamond bezel.

Terrible photo, but the wife and I were out to dinner for our 10th anniversary last night and I thought to snap a quick picture.

Availability of DD 40?

I have an order in with my AD for the new fluted platinum Day Date 40. Ice Blue. What kind of wait did others have? I put my order in when they first came out this spring.

Second question: If the wait runs into next year, should the AD charge any updated price increases, or should he honor the price for when order was placed?

You will pay what the list price is at the time of sale.

Does anyone have the DD40 yet with the fluted bezel yet or is it still a fantasy?

Did you order with Roman numerals or sticks?

I had expressed interest in the stick dial in April, but that reference doesn’t seem to be available any more when you configure it on the Rolex site.
