Have you looked at the white gold version?

Yep, it's weird but when I had my bluesey it seemed like that one had a lot more gold & I guess that would be the outward perception. Allied to the point about scratching that itch which isnt quite what you'd expect

IMHO, I think this will be a trend with OF owners. In the end, it’s just another rubber strap. Again, IMHO

No, I do actually prefer non-white gold if I'm gonna consider a PM piece

I have the OF Yellow Gold Daytona. I enjoy the watch because it isn't as flashy as the full YG version.

I really like your OF Daytona as I love the dial. I have been thinking about buying one, just didn't care to be on a waiting list.

I'd keep it, I have one and i really like it, as for the BLNR, I had one, got tired of it, and sold it a few weeks ago, the first watch I have ever sold.

I guess I'm the opposite of most every one else

Don't let this one go to buy a different watch. The honeymoon phase will fade with the new watch too.

Thanks mate, I guess I wouldnt consider that one as I think it's quite plain. Whereas for me the Pepsi kinda pops a lot more

Personally this color combo is my least favorite. The Newman dial really pops well with full gold. The black strap just over kills it I think.

There is no way I'd ever move this piece on. It's one of my most versatile pieces. Steel can never scratch the same itch.

I work for one of the large consulting firms but I think certainly in Hong Kong, people aren’t wearing flashy/expensive watches to work these days. And I don’t wanna draw too much attention at work, outside of work I really can wear anything in HK

I will never understand a rubber strap on a yellow gold chronograph. There's a fine line between going with everything and going with nothing at all.

I'm on the list for a WG Meteorite on OF, which would be my first choice by a long shot.
(I favor WG for subtlety and versatility.) But, this one's a beauty and the only YG Rolex that I would actually pay (MSRP) for.

Related to this has anyone tried this dial combination with other straps? Would be interesting to see any pics perhaps with red / white strap

I would not do that trade and add a Pepsi. I have the Pepsi and this OF Daytona is my grail. Owning both imo would be a great duo. I feel like it’s flashy and the dial is striking. But the watch is not ostentatious by any means.

I’m surprised you get a BLRO and Blue SkyD for the OF Daytona.

If you can get that I would do it.

I’d keep the Daytona over those two very nice watches.

I did manage to try a Jubilee yesterday next to my OF Daytona, blue dial it was and looked pretty comparable and a contrast to my OF was is pretty low key. Q close to pulling the trigger but will try it again this week sometime

That would be great with the bracelet but at the same time I would miss the ceramic bezel as I would scratch the gold bezel like crazy

A quality black or brown croc strap would look really nice on it.

IMO the Paul Newman is the worst looking Daytona.

I would keep the OF Daytona and add a BLRO. I have a BLRO on jubilee and a white gold Yachtmaster 42 OF and it’s a great combo. Nothing beats the OF in the summer time and the BLRO gives you a nice pop of color for those times you get bored of black.

There is not a more perfect Rolex out there IMO. Dream watch for me.
