Anyone’s opinion is valued if they correctly said watch prices would go up during the pandemic.

I would say the black dial is easier to get at an AD than the white dial

Both dial colors are difficult to get, with white being slightly harder than black (my opinion). It took me 5 years to get both dial colors from the AD. I got lucky and received a white dial before I received black.

Yes since white is more popular.

I'd say it is, but that's like saying its easier to walk 10,000miles than it is to walk 11,000 miles

Both hard to get but black may be somewhat easier of the two. White seems to be the bigger hype piece, more demand.

My AD says the black is mildly easier to get, but both are unicorns.

When I got my 116500 in 2019 my AD was getting around 15 of each color every year. I wanted black and my SA said I would have it in less than a year. If I had asked for a white it would have been 1.5 years as more people ask for them.
It ended up being a 9 month wait. |

Not had to get if you are willing to pay crazy prices as many today end up on grey market, bought then flipped hopping to profit as Rolex watches today have become little more than £$€ objects.

Both equally as hard. I got to pick and choose at the AD when the time came, and black looked best on me to my eyes.

50 / 50. Either one is already sold by the time the AD receives it.

As I've been told by a couple ADs I know, right now:
White is impossible Black is almost impossible So if you want one and you are not really a VIP you might get lucky and manage to get a black one. To get a white one you have to get really really lucky. The white has always been harder, but some years ago I managed to get it as my first watch from the AD. |

The market value between the two colors tell the story which is in higher demand regardless where it’s purchased.
More people are on “the list” for the white dial at the AD. It’s always been that way since it’s introduction in 2016. The only difference now is no one turns down either if they get a shot at one at a AD. Initially some turned down the black dial waiting for the white dial.

Both are very hard, don't be too picky, which one is available for you first, take that one.

I was lucky enough to have been offered the White first, after wearing it for a bit I requested the Black as well and said I’m in no rush so prepared to wait. Got the Black last month.

I went to the boutique to try them on, obviously they didn't have any in steel but they let me try the platinum one, and a white gold with mother pearl and diamonds dial. As it looked right on my wrist I told them I wanted to get a white steel one, so I got on the list in july of 2017.
I made follow up calls 2 times in 2017-2018 just to remind them I was still interested in the watch. A guy I knew got on the list for the same model a week before me and got the call in september 2018, so I knew mine should be near, one week after he received it I called again to check how things were going. A couple of months later in november 2018 I got an email saying they had received my watch and I had a week to go pick it up. I know I was quite lucky, even if things were easier back then I know people that got on lists in 2016 and 2017 and never got a call or anything. |

from what i have heard from a manager, both black and white arrive in relatively equal quantities. its not a delivery issue. the only difference is demand for white is higher, so that would make black easier to get assuming you get placed on a real 'list.'
