Rado Green Ceramic diver

I know this isn't a watch brand that people are beating down the door to own, but I came across this review and was really attracted to the green ceramic. It does seem everyone is jumping on the green bandwagon, but at least this is a little different take. I would probably give this one a try, but not sure for this price.

Nice , Rado brought ceramics to the watch world but the brand rarely gets acknowledged.
I personally love their old school ceramics line which is now discontinued, it was ahead it's time. Lightest ceramic watch.

It’s cool looking for sure, though seems very thick, no? If you just want to try out the color, you can pick up a similar shade in the Marathon GP mechanical for about $400. Not ceramic, and a bit smaller.

I do like the styling of some of the newer Rado watches, especially since they can be had in smaller sizes.

I do like the color, but I think the ceramic is what really makes this watch. As far as thickness, I wish I could see it in person. That 14.6mm thickness could be deceiving, as a couple mm is the domed crystal. I have found thickness added in this manner wears much less thick than actual case thickness. Opinions vary, for me, the Rolex Deep Sea was way too thick but my SD43 is perfect. The Rado comes in a little less than the SD.

The more I read about it, the more likely I am to try one I've been planning on parting with a watch for a while now, I may move on it and just roll that money over.

Nice share. I have nothing against Rado. They were very innovative in the 80s and 90s and there’s room for more in this price range. Looks good too.

In pics it looks like it wears thick because of the bezel design. It is not only thick, meaning more of the watch sits above the lugs (vs. watches with thick mid cases and case backs), but it also appears to almost slope inward (towards dial) vs outward.
