Realistic expectations ?
I understand that men's Steel sports models are rare sightings these days .
Are there any models that are more likely to be found ? * From an AD new watch . I'm thinking that an OP41 blue dial would be just about a perfect daily watch . Not a sport model Is this OP a realistic expectation . Seems that some models show up in bunches. Seen a few 2 toned explorers around and some root beer subs posted as recent acquisitions |

I got a Blue OP41 3 weeks after walking in a store where I had no spending history 7 months ago. In NYC, no less. By all accounts it’s easier now. I think it’s still a crapshoot, but that is a doable watch.
It was my first Rolex. It’s fantastic. I can wear it pretty much anywhere. It’s the watch that I can put on without thinking. The dial is also gorgeous. |

Hey Bluestreak. Great picture . I had an OP39 in blue ( not sure why I sold It??)
Your OP blue really has a nice looking dial ! The sun burst really pops . This is as close as I have come to seeing it . May I ask what size your wrist is ? I did stumble on a silver dial a few weeks ago and just couldn't pull the trigger on it . think the dealer had it sold and the deal fell through. I know I could have bought it and flipped it for a profit - just didn't feel right , someone else can get a chance at owning a nice Rolex I tried it on and it was just about as big as I'd want to wear . It did feel nice & was not too tall off wrist . Helps to offset the 41mm case size |

But, as long as AD’s can use long waitlists and high demand to push you into buying other crap you don’t want for the honor of buying a SS Rolex, there’s no telling. It’s AD by AD, boutique by boutique. |

I have a 7.25-7.5 inch wrist. This was taken in late February so closer to 7.25 I’d guess. The case is actually like 39.8 mm so it wears a bit smaller than an actual 41. And yes. I love the sunburst blue dial. |

I think ya’ll are being overly optimistic about the ease of getting a blue OP41. When the new series came out in the Fall of 2020 there were three more dials of the 41 and they were pretty random in delivery said my SA. He told me my high volume Boutique only received a dozen Coral Red over the 18 month run, mine in February of this year the last.
Less color choices now but no evidence that production has increased for the remaining dials. The OP is a near perfect watch to me and I wouldn’t mind adding a blue or green dial but I think there would still be a wait. |

Looks amazing. I helped a friend grab one for a wedding. I like it much better than a datejust.

Really best to speak with your AD on what’s achievable, one ad I work with says a Datejust is a 3 month wait while the other says 12 month

September 16th, asked for Blue DJ 41 (Fluted & Jubilee). Yesterday got call. First purchase 3 years ago (YM 40 used). Last purchase was Speedy 3861 June 2022. Was offered YM 40 Blue one week after Speedy, but turned it down due. I think that showed them I wasn't looking to simply flip for a small profit.
I agree with forum members who say steady relationship with AD can help. |

Depends on your location, here nothing available without bundling or buying history

This is likely what you’ll encounter almost anywhere. Nothing Rolex is really easily obtainable if you just walk into an AD with no history and no interest in anything other than Rolex.

Also keep in mind, its varies a TON based on your location/market.
I am in Southern California, and getting anything here is a task. I have been on 3 dealers lists for: Explorer 1, Milgauss Z-Blue and Sub. I have been on the lists for the Milgauss the longest (since Jan. 2022) and have received no news. I have even gone into all 3 of these dealers multiple times, and bought a Tudor from one of them (I wanted it, didn't buy it to rise the ranks). This is a saturated market of buyers. Meanwhile, you see reports of people who are in less densely populated areas get a Sub in 3 months with no purchase history.

One said the OP is harder to get than you'd think but it will eventually show up . The other said no OP. But they offered a date just . Just too flashy for me ,jubilee , fluted bezel |
