Panerai Spotted on Fifth Gear (UK)

Meant to post earlier...

On last weeks episode of Fifth Gear (15th June) Jason Plato (Race Drive and now TV presenter) was sporting a £17,000 Panerai 289 - nice watch but the gold finish is not my cup of tea. Rare spot on the tv though!

Nice, that's a good show too... I download it on finalgear.com all the time.

However Top Gear is my preference... How about last week's epsiode when they revealed the Stig. Wonder if he really is the Stig??? or if it was just a publicity stunt.

I initially did not think the 289 would be for me until i saw it in the flesh. It is absolutely awesome. Pictures do not do it justice.

I have actually recorded this aswell

Are you sure it's not a Pam 140 replaced with a brown strap ?

That's what I thought it was.

It looks so good on TV that I think I will always regret not getting one.

To me it looked like a stock 289 with the standard OEM strap, brushed case, power reserve indicator, etc - could be wrong though...
