Need some constructive feedback / critique on my collection

I started the year with only one watch, the 116613LB. Bought quite a few watches this year as travel finally opened up and I purchased most of my pieces overseas (all except for the APs and the Brew Metric).

Anyway, as I reflect on my collection now, I think I may have purchased way too quickly and haven’t had nearly enough time to “bond” with many of my watches. I don’t plan on selling any of these watches, but wondering if I can get some feedback on my collection to see if I can learn from those who have been collecting for decades.

I’d like to be more thoughtful in my approach and perhaps slow down so I can appreciate my current collection more, instead of constantly salivating for the next one.

Current collection, in the order in which I acquired them:

1) 116613LB TT Submariner Bluesy
2) 15720ST ROO Khaki Diver
3) 15510ST Blue RO
4) Medium Cartier Santos
5) GS SBGM221 GMT
6) GS SLGH005 White Birch
7) Uranus Swatch
8) Brew Metric Retro Dial

Also seeking advice on which pieces I should aim for next. Definitely want a modern SS Pepsi, maybe a vintage birth year Pepsi too, and whatever I get allocated from AP so I can work my way up to a 15407ST one day (or whatever replaces that reference etc)

Just my .02 but in highlighting your statements, I am not sure anyone here can or should tell you what to do.

Why do you want what you have listed?

Why do you own what you have?

You are looking for more but want to be more thoughtful?

You don't want to sell but do you wear what you own?

As someone who has gone through what you are asking, my solution was to sell what was not making me happy and start enjoying what I have.

Good luck.

That's good advice.

I can't tell you what you like and neither can anybody else. All we can do is tell you what we like.

Nice collection and diversity of brands. I’d stay put for a while until you know for certain what watch you want next.

What works for me:

I’ve found that too many watches gets distracting, so for me the optimal number is about 3. I’m sitting at 5 right now. I won’t think about adding another watch until I move 1 or 2. Problem is, I like what I have, so unless something comes along that blows me away, I’m staying put with what I have.

Resolve next year not to buy another watch and enjoy what you have. What is not worn should be sold. Many people consider an optimal collection number on the high end to between 4 to 7 to allow for full frequent rotation. You are probably in the "one in, one out" range now.

This is exactly what I’ve been doing for years.
Sometimes you don’t know it’s not for you until you have it, so there has to be an exit plan.

You lack a chronograph.

100% agree with this statement. If I don't wear it or do not like it anymore it is gone. Let somebody else enjoy it & declutter your collection.

I am trying to follow a similar philosophy with other things in my life. Keep simple, enjoy what you have and let go of the rest

Use this opportunity to try out those s watches, refine your taste and find out what you like and what you don’t.

Use that information to decide what to do.

this is a nice variety of watches......nothing I could comment to add or subtract from your collection, just buy watches that sings to you, that's most important

My opinion, which along with $5 will get you a Breve Latte at Starbucks.

1) 116613LB TT Submariner Bluesy- not a fan of TT anything really, so would prefer a SS submariner.
2) 15720ST ROO Khaki Diver - too big and dial is abnormally small compared to the overall watch size. I'd sell it.
3) 15510ST Blue RO - amazing watch; keeper for sure. If you got from AD, groom that relationship.
4) Medium Cartier Santos - don't like this one (too small). Large traditional white dial is a yes if full SS.
5) GS SBGM221 GMT - beautiful looking watch, but I don't really like GS.
6) GS SLGH005 White Birch - same as above.
7) Uranus Swatch - huh? No.
8) Brew Metric Retro Dial - not sure why you bought this one, but don't care for it.
