Stopped by my AD today and he brought out this tool watch for me to check out. Its crazy how big it is but it is suprisingly light for its size. I put it next to my Sub for scale.Name: 20221220_161307.jpg

Proof that even the Cermit can look monstrous on the equivalent of a 10 year old boys wrist/arm.

Honestly, it looks like a Invicta/Rolex collaboration.

Every now and then I start to think the DSC can’t be THAT big…, can it? Surely it can’t be as monstrous as the dimensions read? Have I been too harsh in my critique of it?

And then I see a picture like this one….

It's a matter of perspective ... After wearing my DSC for more than a month, I put on my other watches a few days ago, and they all felt like kid's watches!!!

I love big watches. I have a 47mm Panerai and a 47mm Breitling. But this thing is so big I think it would be really impractical to wear. I probably could have bought it. I don't think it was allocated to anyone but it did nothing for me. So hard pass, still waiting on a oysterflex daytona.Name: 20221220_161355.jpg

Parts bin special. Submariner dial painted matte dwarfed by a behemoth case and steel ring to occupy the space between parts-bin dial and case edge. Wouldn’t it have been more coherent, based upon the use, to make the dial the same size as case aperture and increase visibility?

Truly hideous. Marvelous engineering, completely superfluous consumer product.

Finding myself readying for another price increase once titanium actually makes its way to wearable watches

Undoubtedly amazing design and engineering but hard to see how this could ever go as a "day to day" piece?

I meant superfluous as in "anyone that doesn't have an 8.5"+ wrist shouldn't be wearing one... which is 99.5% of all men

Folks seem to discount what it was designed for.
Put on a thick wet or cold suit, gloves, etc., and bet fits perfectly on a 6.5” wrist.
Just don’t try it at the trench.

I'm sure it looks fine when you've got a full suit of diving equipment on.

Otherwise, looks ridiculous.
