Jaeger-Le Coultre Reverso
Does anybody have one and feedback/opinion? Or for the people who are also looking to get one?
I was at the mall and stumbled across the burgundy one Q397846J and really liked the look. It's not duo faced and surprisingly very light and can be both casual/dress wear but more towards dressy. About $9k Didn't pull trigger but still in my thoughts |

It is a great piece and surprisingly more versatile than you may initially think (if switching up straps). I bought early on and believe it has been a popular model in general. Besides being a unique and elegant colorway, the dial execution is dynamic without being gimmicky. You can put on black alligator strap or even a steel mesh bracelet for a cool vintage look.
Good luck with your choice. |

That black strap is a custom; a Fagliano lookalike.
The modern Reverso Tribute wears much better than the 1931 (at least on my wrist), thanks to the tapered lugs which 'hugs' your wrist better. My only gripe with the watch, is really with the 42 hour power reserve, from that JLC cal 822/2. Oh, also worth mentioning is that the burgundy is the only Tribute that doesn't have a sunburst dial; it has a lacquered dial which can really change up in different lighting. |

I will also add that there seems to be a price increase coming up on Jan 1st that will affect reverso models more than other’s (per a different forum). Not sure if it is across the board or just in specific markets.

I’ve always thought this red dial would look unbelievable when paired with a black alligator strap. I know the fagliano style is an ode to the polo players that the reverso was designed for, but the watch has taken on a dressier appeal and the aligator would really complement this dial

I love this red dial. I have been tempted by it twice, but I have sold two reversos in the past, so I am trying to refrain from buying. However, if they make this red into a duo, all bets are off and I am calling an AD first thing.

I think they are beautiful. I’ve thought hard about getting one on several occasions but can never pull the trigger. I’m not sure why. Maybe the size, utility, or the ridges on the case that would trigger my OCD when filled with gunk.

I really like the Reverso, very iconic and owned a medium thin for awhile. But was surprised at how soft the steel was....like butter.
I managed to dent the front ridge within a couple of wear And I'm usually very wrist-aware. Anyway this has put me off from future reversos. Maybe if they used the same steel as Rolex then I will pick another one up. That burgundy reverso sure is a looker though... Happy hunting.

I love the reverso and my next watch will probably be one. That they come in several different sizes is a plus (the two larger tribute duofaces fit my wrist perfectly, and the smaller ones look great on my wife. I'm a bigger guy, so having watches that look good and sized well is nice.) I have a JLC polaris and it runs about +1 every three days, so excellent time keeping.

The straps are aftermarket, so yeah I did have to pay for them.

I have one but seldom where it. Tend to wear Rolex, Tudor, SINN and the occasional Doxa.
No issues. Just a unique rectangle watch ala Cartier Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

I really like them but when I’ve put one on I’m not sure I love the rectangle on my wrist. I think I’m a round watch guy.

I remember this; wasn't it a limited edition too?

Jaeger-Le Coultre Reverso
I consider it to be a casual watch as long as it has a brown strap. It needs a black strap to be dressy. But it is a cool watch.
