That is exactly why. love the black ceramic bezel.

That’s about as good pair as one can have in Rolex land.

I love the black ceramic white dial as well, without a doubt my favorite current model rolex. Prefer the black dial on 16520's, and really like the look of the creamy dials and tritium hands/hr markers vs newer models. The ceramic bezel is a huge upgrade on the daytona though imo. The steel dials can wear down quickly. I just won't plan to polish mine because i've seen what that can do over time..

Yes, indeed. I sat on the decision for over a year and then waited another several months to find the right watch from the right dealer (David SW is amazing). I was still hesitant as I negotiated, but told myself I'd go through the process of boxing them up and see how it felt. I had no regrets at that time and definitely none now. I just wasn't wearing either watch enough - 9/10 times picking the 16710 when I wasn't wearing my garmin.

The 116710 LN was tougher to let go, but only because it was my first rolex and the only one I’ve purchased “new”. But I rarely wore it as it felt a touch too flashy for me. I like the sleeker profile of the ‘90s watches. At least for now..
The SS Daytona is a much flasher watch IMO...especially with the black dial
