Cartier Santos Skeleton. Black (DLC) or SS?
Seriously considering one of these (not at MSRP) after trying on last week. Cant decide which model though?
ADLC Pros AMAZING lume Looks way cooler ADLC Cons ADLC possible scratching? No bracelet possibly (but could switch out to rubber) already have all black watch (Omega DSOTM OG) SS Pros can replace bezel if scratched includes bracelet can switch to leather SS Cons NO lume Which would you choose and why? |

My vote is ADLC, but it’s highly contingent if it scratches and how it will hold up over time. If the finish does scratch, can Cartier fix it during a service?

the ADLC is far more attractive
scratches - the coating is very durable. whats more likely to happen is you scratch / dent of the stainless steel under it with the coating intact |

Have you seen the new versions as well?
I think especially the blue would be good pick for you considering you would like bracelet and lume and can also replace the bezel if it gets scratched. |

Cartier Santos Skeleton. Black (DLC) or SS?
I think the dlc is very cool. If you’re shopping for this in the 20’s range, have you considered a Girrard Perregueux laureato skeleton? It’s a little more money, but you get ceramic (no worries about the coating scratching), a hand finished caliber and a bracelet.

SS. I think it is more versatile.

I'd prefer the blued hands of the SS model.
Though, that DLC/ Stainless one with the lumed hands would be a close second. |

I would chose the SS version, which I think is a very nice Cartier, although somewhat dearly priced. The black DLC, while cool, would not age as well IMO. With the SS version, you also get the near-trademark Cartier bracelet which goes a long way in establishing the piece's distinctiveness.

Please let us know what they say, these are starting to grow on me. It would be perfect if the black one had a bracelet or if the steel/coloured ones had lume.
