Waterman has some nice pens

and Lamy is a good place to start with fountain pens without breaking the bank.
I'm guessing that a lot of high dollar pens have been used, laid down and the owner walked off without it, never to see it again.

I have a couple of Montblancs, but one is a ballpoint and one is a roller-ball. I decided to dip my toes in the fountain pen world and just ordered a TWSBI. Worst case scenario, it goes to one of the kids! I had just been in the MB boutique and put my name down for a Victor Hugo LE fountain pen but it hasn't come in yet, so we'll see how it goes with the TWSBI first.

Yes it does!

I've got a Montblanc StarWalker Urban Spirit pen.

It seems this is one of the few places I'm allowed to post; interesting! It's been a while.

My favorite pen right now is an Esterbrook with the journals Nib. Pelikan are also world class!

I enjoy your posts!

There’s a few others here that have great content/context but it’s just ignored. Since it’s the season of the “airing of grievances” it seems like this forum is a circle jerking Kabal of about 25-50 people all fluffing each other from thread to thread. Shunning or passive aggressively bullying anyone with independent thought or actual insight. IMHO

Back to Writing Instruments
This is my favourite. My Louis Vuitton Cargo by ST DuPont. It’s obnoxiously large but it’s gotta be the most comfortable piece I own.

Great comments on this thread!

I have several Montblancs and enjoy them. Favorite pen of all time is the Pilot 823 and I don’t think you can go wrong with a Pilot Custom 74 or Pilot Custom 92. If I needed a brand to replace Montblanc, I would choose Sailor. In fact, as a brand, I am loving Sailor right now, including the Sailor inks.

Pen Newbie

I am fairly new to Fountain Pens, but I must admit, the Armando Simoni Club Bologna is a great work horse. It holds a lot of ink and does not skip. I am going to Chicago this weekend to pick up a Pilot 845 Urushi. I did purchase the new Delta 39+1 and it works as a casual writer or long session writer. Glad to see Delta back. I pick up what I like and see how it works, like I do my watches, so I am not the one to ask which is the best brand. Write for the enjoyment and buy for the enjoyment.

Shout Out

I will give a Shout Out to a Pen Store, it is Chatterley Luxuries, His cell is 520-891-8567, I do not get anything for this post. Chatterley will actually talk to you and if he starts talking pens then watch out, he has stories about his Pens just like we have stories about our watches (they tell a story). He is a small business owner like me and I can tell he is a person who is about relationships not the almighty dollar. Again, just my 2 cents.

I agree and Bryan is superb!

I have purchased many excellent examples of some particularly rare pens and have never been disappointed with what I have purchased!

I go back to them over and over.

Favorite Pens

For me, it is vintage Parker's from the 1950's - 60's.
