Long story long- I walked out with the sub and could t be more thrilled about it.

Congrats on the purchase. I own the last of the all back GMT Master 2’s and initially requested the white explorer 2 as my second and last Rolex. I’ve since changed my mind to the Cermit.

I’d like your perspective on those two watches and what is now your preference.

It’s funny, I went to my local Rolex boutique that I bought my first Rolex from. The sales person sold me my first watch 10 years ago. I stop in from time to time say hello, have her clean the watch, etc. About 3 weeks ago I went in asking to be put on a waitlist for the explorer 2 and she comes out saying they won’t sell to resellers, gives me some story about I need to buy 3 watches before I can buy a sport watch etc. I felt pretty offended being a customer of the store.

That’s when I went to my other AD- they sell many different brands and jewelry etc. I bought my wife a watch from them and I bought myself a Tudor from them. The sales guy there is awesome. So when I asked for the explorer 2 and he brought out and offered the Sub I was floored. What a difference in experience from the boutique to another AD.
That is insane. You bought a watch from them 10 years ago and even get the watched cleaned there. You are obviously not a reseller given your past relationship. Their loss and glad a negative experience opened doors for you that lead to a fantastic ending!
