NOS Time Seoul, amazing Rolex vintage dealer
I've been in Seoul for 2 years and I heard about this place not long after I arrived. I have always wanted to go but whenever I was in the area, they were either closed or I didn't have the time.
I finally got the chance to visit today and I was blown away by what was in the display cases. The shop itself is very un-assuming. I forgot to take a pic from the outside but it is a small (and I mean small) shop on the 1st floor of a 4 story building. It is located in Sewon Square, which is a well know market for used watches and jewelry dealers. There are also a decent amount of watch repair shops. I actually wanted to get a strap for my Omega Speedy MK40. NOS Time has a great selection of them. I settle on a tan suede strap to somewhat match the patina on the dial. As for the watches that was in the display cases: For some reason, the YM stuck out like a sore thumb and really seemed out of place! There was also another case mainly filled with Omegas and Cartiers. While I was there, I also had the owner put on a jubilee bracelet on my 16710. Luckily he had the right sized OEM rolex spring bars to make it work. Since the bracelet is 62510H, it needs 1.5mm thick spring bars. And from what I have heard, he is the biggest vintage Rolex dealer in Korea. Plus he said that he can source pretty much any rolex parts and accessories. Anyhow, if anyone is ever in Seoul, be sure to stop by Nos Time. |

Darn, I was in Seoul a couple of months ago. Wish I had known about this place.
What were the prices like, compared to the U.S. and Europe? |

I will take the gilt tropical brown, orig h/s incl small triangle, and 7206 1675 if under £26k /$32k- couldn't care less what case is like !
The 6240 grey/ light blue 'Daytona 'with orig bezel, crown plexi on a rivet 19 is nice too....a few of the other Daytonas etc are not quite original spec though, but fine....

I'm not a professional in this, but several watches are looking awful bad quality fakes for me.

Yes NOS might have another conertation, otherwise it is blatantly breaching the trades description act.... I like their old, old stock stuff mind :-)

Yes the Dom/Piz made me peckish tbh...the 1016 in a porcelain dish was my favourite.
Just lob a bracelet on it and you'll get max price for it...who sells a head only to maximize to their return !!

But in general, they seem to be similar, if not a tad more expensive here. But it also depends on what the exchange rate is. Recently the dollar has been very strong vs KRW so from that perspective, you may find some "deals". For context, I bought a SD 16600 from a dealer last March when Rolex prices were still really high. Based on the exchange rate at the time, it was about $9500. The watch was in immaculate condition and similar ones were going for 10K+ everywhere else. But 5 digit GMTs seem to command big premiums for some reason. I haven't seem them for less than $13K USD equivalent, even now. That is why I got mine when I was visiting the US back in Dec for around $11K. |
