16710 insert removal
Hi all,
I'm no stranger to removing a bezel insert on a 16710 but I'm really struggling on my 2006 GMT. Any tips / tricks before I end up damaging it? Sent from my SM-F936B using Tapatalk |

As you know it’s just press fitted in. Thumbs should do the trick. Maybe lightly tapping with the something to help pop it out?

Sorry all, I meant the bezel! Not insert.

I use a dull pocket knife wrapped in an eyeglass cloth to change inserts on my 16710. Pop the flat of the blade under the bezel right between the 10 and 12 hour markers on the GMT insert and sort of shimmy it up and down it until the bezel pops off. Just be careful to not lose that pesky click spring along the way

I have no idea what the terminology is but anyone else who is curious, its a wide flat blade tool which I cover in Jewlers tape and it pretty easily comes off, just don't loose the clip/pin

I have an old butter knife which I wrap in tape. Put under bezel between 10-12 and then lever upwards. I found getting the bezel back on more problematic than taking off.

16710 insert removal
Good to see you got it. Here’s a link to a short video that has written instructions, under the video in the notes section.
I love changing inserts! Cheers. https://youtu.be/dVryPobMOFg Just another WIS who loves to trade. IG @bladeandwatch1

I use a plain plastic credit card. Works very well. Still put a piece of masking tape on lug just in case...

I take it that the insert can't be removed by itself independent of the whole bezel?
