I'd definitely make the trade, but not for an additional 7k. Negotiate that down a bit and I'd be there.

Both of them should be in Rolex collection, add only, don't trade.

Why do people always comment don’t trade and only add
Does it not occur that not everyone has the money to that and trading is the only option?

Yes I never get that either. In an ideal world, as watch fans of course we'd always add if money allows, but not everyone is in that position.

I prefer the Sky-Dweller to the new Green Dial Submariner. If the Blue Sky-Dweller is on Jubilee then you are close on the value difference in the secondary market. I would negotiate and then I would do it. I am a huge fan of the Sky-Dweller and own all three current SS references and just texted my AD for the Green Dial just released. I also have a YG model. Go for it, this hobby is about fun and you have to pay to play. Just get the best deal.

Not a chance. If I could only have 1 watch it would probably be my LV. I’ve never been that into the sky d.

Ideally I'd aim to own both. If it has to be one, it has to be the Sky Dweller for me. You do you.

I wouldn't, but the sky dweller can be uncomfortable for me.

I totally get that. Trust me, I do. But, the awful truth is, a trade almost always ends up in a loss for the trader. Not to mention the possibility of seller's regret and buying the original item back. So, the almost default answer around here to the question is, don't do it. It's kinda like the old saying, 'if you asked your mother, what would she say?' Except in this case, we're the mother.

My own answer is this. They're such different watches, to me they represent different niches in lifestyle/fashion sense. I would do some reflection on what kind of watch fits these things best in your life and go for the one you think does the best job for you. And of course understanding the possibility you may not be able to get back what you let go. Good luck,

Both are iconic piece. It is really up to you. If you want iconic dress watch, then blue SkyD is better choice than day date or date just ( in term of collectibility). Blue Sky D is very hard to get, and harder to get than Sub LV

If you like to wear sport watch, then keep your Sub LV, and you have other choices for iconic sport watch like GMT pepsi/ batman, SS daytona for future buy

It is better to own both if you have the fund

1000%

The Sky is complicated and cool... if you are the Rock. Its too big for my taste and the sub is a classic.

SkyDweller is too big for me, so that's an easy answer.
