1970 1675 Help?

Hey brains trust

Got my hands on a 1970 1675 serial 212xxx serial

End links 280

Rivet bracelet - 7836

Do we know if the hands are original?

Dial looks to be a MK1

Date is closed 6 and closed 9

Thoughts appreciated ?

They look later and perhaps/probably tritium. You'll see there is some pinion oil seepage/stain at pinion end of hour hand, so I suspect perhaps 80/90s tritium. Stick it under UV or an LED light and let us all know the outcome as Lupus66 says. MK1 yes.

Not a rivet bracelet. Some service parts, as noted. I like the case and dial.

Service insert too but looks like the bezel and insert both took a major impact. So you could get a period correct replacement. Case looks thick and could be refinished with minimal effort or impact if you choose to go that route. And yes, a folded link 7836 bracelet. All in all I do like it, very honest.

Looks like a decent watch for its age with a few replacement service parts which you'll find on a 50-year-old watch.
