When was the last open 6 and 9 dates on 16610?

Hi experts.

Just acquired a 16610 L serial (1989). I noticed the 6 and 9 are not open but i thought 1989 serials came with 6-9?

Do we have any idea when rolex stopped producing open 6-9 on 16610s? Or is my dial perhaps a replacement (the hands Don’t seem to match the indices patina)

I would be more concerned about what appears to be an aftermarket crystal.

The date wheel appears to be a service wheel. Does it make a difference or affect the value?

May be picture quality, but the lettering on the dial looks bad.

What is the bracelet reference OP?

That dial looks very suspicious. The paint looks sloppily-applied and not like other 16610 Ls. And yeah, that crystal.
Where did you buy it?? Was it recently?

. . .
Your dial may be original and has good color.

The hands may be replacements, but hands and dials don't always age the same.

L serials were first seen in ~88 and carried over into the '90s. There may have been some carryover with open 6 wheels, but many say that 16610's and the 3135 movement were closed.

Can you guys comment on why you think this watch is fake or has some fake or suspect parts?

I think that people are a little concerned about the crystal. Not because replacing a crystal is a big deal, but because once you identify an aftermarket part, you really need to inspect everything else very carefully. Hopefully you will find that everything is correct once you study it thoroughly and compare with other examples. At first glance, I do think that the hands may be newer than the dial, which is unfortunate because the dial lume has aged nicely and the case is also attractive.
