Question Sub 5130/0

have a 5130/0, serial number reflects 1977 year made. have worn everyday for 30 years. I’m in construction, diver and fish . I never take the watch off. it’s amazing the durability of the sub.

My questions, what does the /0 mean after 5130.
Also I was at a jewelry store to pick up chain for a gift. The jeweler that sells Rolex asked to look at watch. The bezel does not click like the new ones. Is it supposed to? It never has clicked, I’ve had watch serviced at Rolex , and I can turn either direction.
Any info would be great

Hello Jimmy, I'm pretty sure you meant 5513/0.

The zero reflects the stainless steel, whereas a 3 is gold/stainless steel combination and an 8 means it's a full 18k gold Rolex.

As for the bezel, it is not supposed to click, it is held by friction, so you'll have to push down and turn.

firstly, what on earth is a 5130/0?

I suspect you mean 5513 going by your description, i.e. bezel turning both ways, etc. (yes, they turn both ways and don't click).

Can you show us some pictures? we can then confirm what watch you are talking about with more certainty.

Appears to have a service dial if you are right about the 1977 production. Think insert and hands are all service parts.

Probaby need better photos to be 100% sure.

alwayshere is correct, your beauty has at least a white gold surrounds (SWISS marked) service dial, which is not a problem, it just isn't as valuable as an original.

As a tool watch it's a plus as you probably have a Luminova dial, glowing green.

Does it glow if excited by light?

Wear it in good health, nothing beats the real Submariner (no date)!

Good eye Filipao. The visible 4 hash marks between 6 and 5 o clock suggests SWISS only

Shame as a lot of its value is lost but certainly a reliable and more user friendly tool watch!
