Which bracelet did you buy?
I wish I could indulge you, but no

And it's a bracelet off of a 36mm OP. SEL and solid center links.

Thanks Ascari_2, can you please also inform the part number/reference for it?

Gentlemen, I misspoke. The bracelet is from the 116000 OP and not the 126000 (though I suspect the 126000 would also work). The bracelet reference number is 70200.

IMO it's the best thing you can do to this watch to enjoy it as a daily piece that can easily spend 12 hours a day, 7 days a week on the wrist.

The end links will work just like that?

Well you do have to squeeze the spring bars.

Hello @Ascari_2 thank you so much for the new info.

It would be great if you can take a pic from "down under", case bottom showing the fit from endlinks to the underside of case and lugs.

To the OP’s question, I’d skip the 16800 option.

Buying a birth year watch usually means it’ll be a lifetime keeper. A 5513 is what I’d want for a lifetime keeper.

One last opinion - with Rolex becoming less likely to work on vintage when parts are gone - there are fewer parts involved in the 5513.

The 16800 vs 5513 mostly comes down to the date vs no date issue and that's totally subjective. I would encourage the OP to go with whichever watch her will likely use. For example, while I can appreciate some people's love for their no-date Sub, I find myself checking the date on mine quite often (work in a field with date-based deadlines) and couldn't see myself enjoying a 5513 anywhere near as much as I enjoy the 16800.

As far as the lack of parts, I wouldn't worry about it one bit. The 'date' components are made up of a handful of gears, springs, and a lever (and of course a date wheel), all of which are usually not subjected to a lot of wear. Not only that, but the 3035 movement was extensively used in the DateJust and sourcing parts for this movement is extremely easy (albeit they might be coming from a used watch, though NOS parts are also all over the bay).

Actually, in the near future, I expect that it will be easier to have a cal 3035 serviced compared to a 15XX movement. In fact, I understand that Rolex is still supplying parts for the former.

Very neat!

Although no groove for seating the lower bit of the SEL, it looks to be perfect!

Nice nice, thanks so much

You're welcome. And while the bracelet isn't the original, it sits without any movement. The end links are very snug against the case.
