What model is this?
Hello everyone,
Brand new to this site. I wish to fix and restore my father's neglected Rolex. Can anyone tell me what model number this is? I went to a registered Rolex repair shop, they said they would have to send it to Switzerland and the price would be $2600. Probably more than the current price of the watch. Can anyone recommend a someone who can repair and refurbish this, for a reasonable amount, in the US? Would also like to get the correct band put on it if possible. Thanks |

Your photo is too small to say much.
Looks like a 60/70's typical Oyster watch of the time. The model number and serial number are stamped on the sides of the case between the bracelet lugs. I would expect that most any competent watchmaker could do repairs and ebay if filled with era correct bracelets. I can't imagine why it was recommended to send this watch to Switzerland unless you were asking for "restoration".

What part of the US are you located so perhaps we can recommend a watch repair person close to you.
