GMT Master ii “Pepsi” Question
Hey Everyone,
As my name says, I’m new to all of this and trying to learn as much as I can for my first Rolex which I plan to buy soon. I’ve always admired the GMT Master Pepsi version and had a question. Is there any differences in the watch from the years 21,22, and 23? Or basically only thing you give up is the years on warranty? Thanks in advance! |

There's a bit of variation on bezel colors. Some think this is a myth, but from what I've seen it's definitely a thing.
I believe we are on the "MK III" version of the bezel. Having said that, I'm not too sure when these "updates" were made since the watch has been around since 2018 (I'm assuming you mean the stainless steel version). I think I've read the MK III bezel showed up sometime in 2021. |

Makes the dial look more clear in some light. Can tell based on a code by looking at the crown on the crystal, there is a recent thread about it. |

As above. Variation in bezel insert hues is a real thing so far as I have seen. Models from '22 with the full AR coating (under the crystal) have inserts that look more like red and blue than some of the pinkish and purplish ones I've seen. Also from late '21 the bracelet choice was introduced. The Oyster bracelet IMO gives the most balanced aesthetic, but the Jubilee bracelet wears more comfortably and is more of an homage to the original 6542.

The bezel hues have come full circle. 2023 look the same as 2018 to my eye
Before anyone says I’m a denier … I admit there are different shades but they appear to be somewhat random now. Congratulations on your choice OP, it’s one of my favorites |

I think initially people were a little surprised that the red/blue didn't look as "true" or whatever the proper term would be as the other ceramic colors. But I've also noticed the Pepsi's hues can change quite a bit depending on the lighting, more so than the BLNR for sure. People celebrate Grand Seikos for this kind of thing. So I do think eventually people will come to love the differing hues of the Pepsi ceramic. |

As far as I'm concerned there's no replicating the aluminum colors as ceramic will never look like aluminum being that its a different material. I'm happy with my 2018 and that all that matters. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

I'd love to see a MK1 in person. I've seen a '19-'21 and currently have a '22 and they all look the same to me. In person it's a dark blue but in iphone pics it looks purple-ish. Unless it's side by side and in person comparison it's really difficult to tell.

I was pleasantly surprised how blue and red mine was when it turned up at my AD. I would have happily taken a pink and purple one. |

Mark 1. Mid-2018 purchase. Would have any modern version, despite the apparent differences. This is now my daily!
