I've done literally the same thing, the only exception is I have spending history (engagement ring) with the AD I am pursuing for a Sub Date. Current wait time 2 months. I don't know how you guys can wait for 15 months and not go grey. I think by June/July I'll get a bit more pushy and if I feel like I won't get the watch, I'll just go grey. |

Can i also suggest if you want a Sub to scour Chrono24. In 2019 I got lucky and picked up a ~ 2mo old 114060 for basically MSRP, “full set.”
There are people out there who aren’t flippers or Greys that just bought an expensive bauble that for whatever reason didn’t “sing” to them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

IMO few and far between to find a good SA. Makes it more important to speak to the manager and ask them to level with you. Forget the chocolates, unless you can pull it off without seeming weird. I couldn’t lol but doesn’t mean you can’t. I find talking business and the current watch market, supply & demand, etc. comes easy with the manager. If your SA doesn’t know you by name when you walk in, doubt you have any chance. Follow up in person monthly and once they know you, mix in a text or email for follow up as well. Any manager worth their salt can figure out whether your genuine or just the next hype guy or flipper. |

No wait for my sub date in 2017. Called Mayors and made an appointment, a few days later, watch was on the wrist.
Got the call for BLRO in 2019, but turned it down thinking there would be other opportunities later… That didn’t work out as I would ironically purchase one for much higher than MSRP last year…. Registered interest for a blusey last year and got it after about six month wait. Registered interest in Tudor panda chrono shortly after its release and got the call after 7-8 month wait I think. I’ll update if I think of other experiences. DM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first post and a relative newbie!
I'm in Ohio and expressed interest in two models in August 2022, a datejust 41 in Mint Green and a Yachtmaster 40 Rhodium dial. I was offered the Yachtmaster in September and then the datejust in November. I took both. Not sure if my experience is unusual or if it's because I didn't want a sub, daytona or gmt at this point. These were my first Rolex purchases. It's sad that a lot of the opinions (particularly youtube) focus on the AD horror stories. My AD experience (Alsons) could not have been nicer or more professional and the wait was not insane. |

One month for those is not uncommon. I got my dj within just 30 minutes, no any relationship, just walk in and out with the watch. |

DD40 228238, on list in June of 2020, received November of 2020.
TT Daytona 116503, on list in January 2021, received May 2021. Then to new AD with no history, my former AD lost their Rolex franchise, SS Yachty 126622, on list in June of 2022, still waiting. |
