Is there something loose inside this watch?
hey there. check the pic of the back of the watch with the cover removed. what is that thing in the lower left hand side. looks like a loose watch part. maybe i am mistaken; take a look! ps - what could have caused that caseback to get so badly dammaged on the inside? harry in Montreal

That caseback has certainly seen some wear, and the floating part aint supposed to be there, the rest looks fine, I'd say this Tudor has seen a fairly hard life. I'd say the inside of the caseback has been placed in a clamp fairly heftily at some time.

The lower left is a clamp for the movement.
As Dave mentioned, it appears the case back was placed on a type of clamp to have caused that indentation. This would not be caused from something lose or sticking out, otherwise the mark would resemble a swirl mark as they tighten the caseback. |
