Our Take
The 16234 straddles between the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. It also featured the jumping date, stainless steel bezel, and the newly updated Cal. 3135 movement.

This particular ref. 16234 is in very good pre-owned condition, meaning there are light signs of wear with age. The case appears to be unpolished with sharp case lines. The silver 'railroad track' dial is in excellent condition along with the hands and Jubilee Bracelet.
