Grand Seiko is renowned for not only their flawless designs and performance but also their rigorous and exceptional quality control. What we have here though, is a green dial Elegance SBGW285G with a rare production error on the dial! This alone makes this an extremely rare and highly collectible timepiece.

Note how the assembler installed a gold marker at the 7 instead of silver tone marker. When the original owner noticed the marker, he asked the AD if this was normal. The abnormality was enough to make Grand Seiko HQ respond to the AD to get the watch back for correction. After discovering that this was indeed a production error, the original owner decided to keep the watch.

The watch is running well with no issues and the crystal is clean with no nicks or scratches that I can see. The case and clasp look near mint with little to no discernible wear.
