Launceston side street

I thought this may be interesting because of the way the 3 people were spread out, and because of the guy on the left on his mobile wearing wellies. People in wellies, both men and women, is a common site around here. Farmers and horse people, especially, practically live in them.

Not like NZ where it's just the sheep shaggers
Cheers,
Bruce

From what I can find out, it's about 7K population. Here's some info

We just live a couple of miles outside of Launceston now.
Cheers,
Bruce

There aren't a lot of cars in the town center. Some, but it's just a bitch to get in and out. There are car parks just outside of the center. Most of the business is outside of the town center now, but there are some fun shops there.

Those narrow streets are just the way it is in most European small towns, from what I've seen. I have seen people getting ticketed for parking on the pavement (sidewalk). I guess there must be a limit as to how far you can go, but I don't know what it is
Cheers,
Bruce

A great Cornish town Bruce they used to have quite a good rugby team at one time Cornish all blacks. And regarding the wellies, you can now get ones with zips up the back, for faster release so I have been told. And be careful of those pasties, they soon sneak up on the old waist line.

Launceston really does have some interesting history. You know, I've still not been to the castle! That's like the main thing in Launceston. I took a crappy pic of the entrance from a car park yesterday. Don't know why the hell we didn't wander in there.

I bought a pair of basic wellies when we first moved to the UK. The grass in the front garden was so high and wet I needed them to mow it! Now I'm looking at some you can actually do a long walk in. They do have some nice ones that go from 50-250 GBP. I reckon the high end is for the country gentleman type you see on telly who walks around on his estate shooting pheasants

I go hot 'n cold with the pasties, going through stages where I eat 'em daily to not having one for a couple of weeks. They are good!
Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks mate! We're searching the web for some good wellies now. Need some for serious walking and picture taking. I already have the kind with the loose tops for sheep shaggin'
