Opinions on this 1675 ?
Im rather new and been looking at vintage 1675 and studying from https://gmtmaster1675.com/
So trying to gather as much information as i can from veterans from this forum. It looks like a service dial and insert to me ? Plexi also looks quite beaten up. Stay away from this example ? Lume plots also appear to be slowly disintegrating. Not sure why though. Seller said it’s from serial 14xxx |

To my eye the case looks very uneven. 1.4 serial would of been a gilt dial originally. The long E is a service replacement dial that is also in bad condition. I think only if going very cheap for me anyway! |

I wouldn't pay for a watch like that unless valued at movement and case only.

I am not an expert but could someone confirms whether is this a service dial? It does not appear like a service dial to me. 1.4mil serial number should probably be PCG too?

Looks like an authentic Mark 1 dial per @Springer’s site. My watch from ~1970 has the same dial.

1.4 seems to be gilt but round CG IMO
Could be a period correct handset, relumed ? Dial is far from being attractive Could be later datedisk Service insert Strange plexy Project piece above, not a good way to start vintage I would say

It is not considered a service dial - but in this case, it clearly was used as a replacement dial as well as many of the other replacement parts on the watch.
