Worth fixing up?
I’ve had this watch 20+ years, just found it.
I assume it needs an overhaul to be properly functional. If I recall I paid like $250 back around the turn of the century. Should I have it serviced or scrap it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don't scrap it! Looks like a SKX009 . . . very cool watch, likely still running. Made in 2001 with Singapore movement.

Service the movement, possibly the crystal if needed, but keep the rest of that classic as is.

That's SKX009K for sure. It's bulletproof and tough as nails. Have it serviced, cleaned and wear it for another 20 years. My SKX007 and SKX009 stand proudly next to my Rolex Sub and Seamaster.

So it seems that Seiko no longer produces the bracelet for the SKX009?
Is that true and if so, would this aftermarket bracelet for SKX007 fit? https://www.strapcode.com/products/metal-ss-bcl03-b010 |

Nice to see an SKX saved from the scrap heap. Wonderful workhorse watches. You don’t need to send it to Seiko… parts are plentiful and it’s a simple movement.
