First Panerai - been hunting down this one for a while

Finally pulled the trigger on a PAM 111. Been looking for a clean, full set; not overly polished; with the sandwich dial; and from a seller that I can trust on the watch being authentic.

This one popped up at DavidSW last week, pulled the trigger quickly, and was in my hands earlier today in Asia. Smooth transaction through and through.

Love the watch…so easy to wear and perfect for my wrist.

This was my first nice watch
I still remember the day it showed up to my apartment and I opened the box and my stomach flipped, it was so beautiful.
I also remember the bankers face when I told him I was wiring the money for a watch; he thought I was nuts.

Congrats! Love the large "3"!

What makes this 111 the one to have for you?

Clean sandwich dial, open case back but ETA movement, Luminor, manual wind, 44mm. A 112 would also have fit the bill but the small seconds makes for a more interesting dial.

I’m sure I’ll go down a Panerai rabbit-hole…want a 1950 case (will likely get a Submersible to fill that need), and also a Radiomir with the onion crown and sandwich dial.

Agreed, a Sub and 1950s case. I'm going to have to space the purchases out though.

Congratulations! A pam 111 is to panerai as the ND sub is to rolex. Great catch.
