Nice but far too expensive.

At least AP's recently found conviction that ceramic should be priced ~ the same as gold makes the pricing structure easy to remember.
Cost aside, the end-of-days II is my favorite of the 43mm ROOs, together with the similarly priced "Le Bon" color scheme novelty. The RG/grey ROO is maybe visually more appealing, but the black ceramic makes for a very wearable, if expensive, daily watch. OTOH, the end-of-days makes the pre-owned prior gen ceramic ROOs look like great bargains.

I had the chance to try it during a recent visit together with the ''ceramic beast'' and taupe ROO.
The end of days is phenomenal. The yellow complements nicely the full ceramic case and dial. AP has somehow made the 43mm ROO fit better than the 42M ROO. |

How bright is the yellow in person? I used to own the 1st edition EOD. I thought the yellow markers were too big and prominent. Made it hard to wear as a daily for me.

IMG_2749-compressed.jpg Not that bright. As others said, very light and under the radar. IMO though outrageously priced like Vogel said.... At least $15k too much for my liking |

Wouldn’t hurt to ask and put on your list, especially if many others are inclined to pass on it given the price.

The yellow is very subtle compared to online pics, in a good way. Very easy to wear. Very comfortable, very light, very cool!

No it’s not. My nomads came in town to take us out to dinner. One of them was wearing this. Got to try it out. I did get offered one here the other day but at the same time had deals going on three Pateks and decided to pass as I’m waiting for two APs that I am told will happen soon. It was really hard to pass on! Unfortunately cant buy them all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Agreed. I get ceramic is harder to work on and probably higher risk for case damage/warranty....but not sure if I had the new grey/rg and end of days in front of me for MSRP that I would ever chose the end of the days.
Killer watch though...just wish it was priced in the middle between SS/Ti and Gold. |

It’s such a cool watch it just wasn’t on my radar and I hadn’t requested it. It’s always a little awkward turning something down, I’m not worried they’re having a hard time getting rid of it but you still just want to say yes. It always works out, in fact when I have turned things down I’ve gotten what I wanted or something better. And I do try to justify it like oh well if I bought it then for sure I’d get x, then I could probably get y, and then I can get all thez’s. It’s crazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 2nd pic under direct light shows the yellow as very muted. Perfect. Thanks. Fantastic watch. With a black or grey rubber strap this watch would be exactly my cup of tea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Was allocated one and turned it down. $65k is frankly too much when I paid $38k for a ceramic 44 back in 2020

Agree. I bought my 44mm CE for $28k tax not included back in 2017. The prices of the new ones are eye watering. I also bought my QP Royal Oak SS for $83k before taxes just last April. I would have to imagine we are at the upper range of pricing given the macro backdrop.

Side note…I just noticed the new ceramic blue bezel 43 is priced at $57,900 USD…versus the EOD and ceramic YG at $60,300

Given that it was launched in April, and AP usually has the watches available right away it could mean it may go into 2024. |

I had wondered if this pricing was actually related to inflation, but that doesn’t seem to be the main argument. When you say “upper range of pricing,” do you mean just for the year? Because, especially in a healthy economy, price increases are expected. It honestly seems like the sky is the limit (i.e. limitless) with there always being buyers ready/able to buy. |
