I think my SBGT235 is still in production. It's only sold in Japan but you can sometimes find them on eBay and other sites from Japanese sellers.

Battery update: still going after 3 years + 4 months.

The battery in my sbgt035 just died. I have owned it about 18 months. No idea how long the battery was in there before that. Did not notice the hands jumping beforehand. The last time I wore it was a few months ago. I bought the tools to change it myself. Looks easy enough.

Battery finally gave out today. No warning double-tick like last time. Seconds hand just started ticking unevenly and losing time. So, about 3 yrs, 4.5 months.

That battery did a great job. And that watch keeps amazing time.

It sure does, Kevin. I just switched to the back-up piece today, which has only gained about five seconds since January 4, so also not too shabby. It'll see me through till I can get the wife over to the Seiko Service Centre for a battery change and pressure test (she likes going shopping in that area, so it's all good).
