There will be scratches once you wear your watch regardless how careful you are......unless you put it in the safe.....so get used to it

Dirt and microbes ? Absolutely no issue with this. I use a « clear protect » dedicated to bikes and nothing can go btw the sticker and the watch...and it is invisible. |

If bought used, the micro scratches may have all been there already... just saying...
I wear a DD daily and is my only watch. Step away from the loupe... free your mind and the rest will follow |

The stainless steel, gold or platinum that are the materials that Rolex uses to make its watches are not scratch resistant, whether it is a ring, bracelet, watch, that uses those materials will inevitably be scratched.
Rolex uses stainless steel for being resistant in time and anti-corrosive, suitable material for adventurers and athletes on land and sea and gold or platinum because it is a symbol of luxury. There are watchmakers such as Seiko, Omega, AP, Rado, Movado, which have manufactured ceramic cases and brazalets that have the same effect as Rolex bezels, they are anti-scratch, however, be careful that these cases, like Rolex bezels, do not break. There has been no anti-scratch material such as ceramic that is popular such as steel or gold, meaning for most buyers the reliability of the material is more important than its ability to resist scratches. |

The brushed SS Sub bracelet does not show these scratches even when you clean it with a toothbrush.

I think microscratches are just a regular part of a watches life. If you want to avoid scratches you avoid wearing it but then are you really enjoying your watch?

Yes, "micro scratches" are inevitable, particularly on the clasp. A Rolex, like any other watch, is made to be worn and enjoyed. Do your best to ignore these scratches that are going to appear no matter what you do! Don't spoil the enjoyment of owning such a lovely watch by worrying about them!
