I had the 216570 (polar) and sold it early this year. I have the 226570 to pick up Saturday. (polar) I love the improvements they have made. Lugs have a slimer appearance. End links seem to be turned down some more than the previous version. etc.

The main thing I like about the polar is the stark contrast on the dial. Very legible even with my old eyes. White gives this watch a very clean appearance. Beautifully done. That's why I decided to buy another. I liked the older hand set just fine. But the new matt is even better IMO. The crown seems more refined as well. Don't really know if it is or not but does seem so.

Overall the 226570 is a very nice watch for daily wear for me. It has every spec I need function wise and the esthetics to make it easy to read and look pretty nice at the same time. Is it Saturday yet!!!
