Only twice; once at an association meeting in Santa Barbara, California and once at a car wash in Bellevue, Washington.

I could care less - but if you are spending upwards of $4K on a watch you should know what it is - or maybe not! Haha.
I agree. Even if you don't know the what each model number is on the PAMs you still have an idea of some of the key models when you are shopping for a watch.

Maybe I'm wrong but I would think most people would research the brand a bit to see what models are out there, but who knows. I guess someone could just go into a store and buy a $5K+ watch and not care to know more about it....or simply get it as a gift and not care much to look up other watches in the brand. Just seemed fishy to me

Or it was a fake and didn't want you to get a closer look, thus not giving you a good look, nor going into detail. Sounds like a fake Paneristi either way.

Not much being seen in my place. However, I saw before a seller of replica watches in a night market wearing it (shouldn't be a genuine one though).

I complimented a strangers Pam and he ignored me. Lol, I figured it must be a fake. Since He slid it into his jacket pocket.

I can talk shop for hours with a stranger about watches.

Or maybe because he look right at my ROO Panda and thought mine was a fake. Who knows? The least he can say is thanks...

Holy thread revival! But yes many many times I have spotted Panerai on peoples wrists. They are so completely unique and that’s why I love them

Very rarely. One of my clients has one and someone I used to work with.

Even in So. Cal., you don't see them often.
