Does the new 2 year insurance protection transfer with the watch?
I know the 8 year warranty transfer with the watch, but does the 2 year theft/damage/protection insurance also transfer or is that owner dependent?

I bought my piece in 12/23 and activated the 2 year "insurance". Im sure the info is on the AP site.
Edit: May the AP Coverage Service be granted in case of transfer of the watch (resell or gift)? As the AP Coverage Service is nominative, the service shall be activated again by the new owner in case of change of owner, if the watch is eligible. https://www.audemarspiguet.com/com/e...-coverage.html |

I can confirm from experience that the AP Coverage is transferable. I purchased a used (new in March 2023) AP at the end of Nov 2023 and registered the AP Coverage via my online AP account.
Great plus not only for the first owner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As the program seems to be in limbo for 2024 new purchases, one should be careful with assuming that re-registration still works. E.g., Ikincooper's experience is from last year, when the program was still in place for new watches.

The FAQ of the 2022-23 coverage service states "As the AP Coverage Service is nominative, the service shall be activated again by the new owner in case of change of owner, if the watch is eligible." It shouldn't be affected by the change of policy in 2024. But then again, YMMV.

AP care program is no longer available for 2024 purchases. I picked up my watch a few days ago and was told that it has been discontinued. No reason why

Too bad if this goes away so quickly, while I have insurance for my watches, the coverage service was really great for peace of mind particularly while traveling. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=931310 |
