The good ole days
I was looking for something and found this. It was given to me for the 3/1/08 price increase. That year the 116520 went up twice, once in March ($7900 to $9200) and once in October ($9200 to $9925). Not sure why the 116520 is not listed

Always interesting!
Inflation adjusted the 116710 would be $9,650 today, and full gold Daytona 116518 would be $28,700. Where are they actually now - the oyster 126710 and yellow gold 126508 Daytona? |

Tell me about it, time sure does fly. In 2009, they could not give away green dial Subs. My Grey guy would have many of them, trying to pawn them off for $2500-$3000. Being a Celtics fan, I always thought about buying one to wear with my Celtics gear. Boy, do I wish I bought one.

I wish I still had some of that old stuff.
If I recall, there used to be a smaller booklet with pictures and prices of each reference with the prices. This is also a great price throw back link on Rolex prices https://www.minus4plus6.com/PriceEvolution.php |

Got a 112470 explorer in 2001 for $ 3000. AD said 10% off any thing in the case!

Looking at the prices I had a feeling that was around 2008 or so. In 2007 I purchased a 14060M for I think $4500 which was a discount off the MSRP I remember.
Was from a jewelry store in Illinois just across the border with Iowa. Was able to avoid sales tax by having them hire a courier service to drive it over the Mississippi and hand it off to me in a parking lot, haha. Totally new concept for them but I have a feeling they may have used that one in the future after that. |

That’s not that long ago. I have catalogs when I was shopping that has the no-date SS Sub for $3700.00 otd from my AD. I think early/mid 90’s?? I would have to check. I keep my old Rolex catalogs as trophies in my office library. A lot of driving and research was required to buy a Rolex that was in the display case.
