You can tell that the clasp engravings were done by hand (poorly). The coronet is simply a circle with lines coming out of it.

Maybe he didn't get the sticker because he was the MC?
Got the big box though. |

Dan, I agree with your sentiments but IMO you need to edit that cos I don't like my daughter to see that on the Forum.

My brother has an SS daytona blackdial and i can tell you for sure there is no engraving on the back of his case, glad you talked to these guys on the forum they really have a wealth of knowledge about these timepieces by ROLEX , I recently was given a TT black submariner from my wife and these guys helped me feel welcomed to even own a ROLEX !
I will post pics soon , but my friend you do need to join owning one is like wearing a house around your wrist investigate with TRF and they will help you. |

To set the record straight.........
These Daytona Winner Watches do exist.......... They are unique and, if original, may cost 20 to 40 Thousand dollars... Here is a screen capture from the Antiquorum Catalogue where one was verified and auctioned... Note the location and size of "Winner" on the engraving and it says "Rolex At Daytona (date)",, not "Rolex AD Daytona"

New member here, I might post pictures later and I have been all over this site reading about this Daytona engraving on the back after the sticker wore off and started to wonder what it means. It is correct in spelling as some say AD and should be AT like mine does. I might post some pictures later but I figured I would post it to this thread since we are on the topic. Thanks! Kevin
