When I was 16 my dad gave me a Precision Date manual wind. I wore it everyday and did some yard work with it. Had it for 15 years, serviced once and no problems but it had scratches. One day I was walking downtown during my lunch break and bump into my father in law,, tells me to go with him to the local Rolex dealer where he was getting a new two tone DateJust and was trading in a blue dial Date 1500,,he looks at me and asks me if I would like to have his automatic blue Date,, I replied "YES",, all of a sudden he tells the salesman that he wanted his blue dial Date watch serviced with new cristal etc etc paid for the service gave me the ticket and he traded in my scratched Precision for his new watch. That was 1981 and today 2024 have the same watch that has been serviced about 5 / 6 times and at least 3 crystals changed.. The band is sort of stretched but last service was two years ago and it is very accurate. I have cut grass and all kind of chores with it,, I won't wrench (I do it a lot) one of my vintage Volvos wearing it but other than that I wear it ALLWAYS. Only when I travel overseas I wear my black Casio.
