I have jc. Ill be honest i almost passed on it due to many people saying size. Then i tried it on and felt heavy but one person said once sized itll fit better. Have now and its one of the most comfortable. The dial is mesmerizing and i love how “not rolex” it is. The technological marvel to make it surpassing anything a human will get to in terms of depth is astounding. Its a keeper!

Out of the Deep Sea going for the James Cameron dial. Just such a cool watch!

Started with a Submariner followed by a DSSD JC and, finally the SD43.
Only kept the Sub which my wife wears. My next diver will be the original diver and all-time classic Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. |

I hope they release that gradient blue on a 42mm dial with 13/4mm thickness, that would be ideal for me. It could lose the green text as this is not the titanic reference, could be a new SD42.

I took a closer look at the JC at the airport and found the color gradient from blue to black very nice. It is a large powerful diver with good proportions. Due to its thickness and heavy weight, it wouldn't be an everyday watch for me. But it felt surprisingly comfortable for that brief moment.

Having owned a DSSD JC I would definitely go with a black dial if I purchase another DSSD. JC was just too much splash for me.

JC is interesting with a unique look, but prefer the classic black. I think gradient dials never really gained favor with me. Although it does have a cool story behind it.

No wrong choice here, but since you asked, I prefer the JC. What a cool watch.

There's obviously a disproportionate amount of appreciation for the JC and understandably so.
It has a special charm in the Rolex context and a certain amount of charm is crucial. I have both flavours of the 116660 and basically wear the black as a daily watch, but prefer the JC like so many others for the obvious fundamental reasons plus the fact that it was a wedding gift from my Sweet Sweet which i was wearing on our special day. |

I owned the Black DSSD for a while but I found the matt Black dial combined with the thick crystal very dull so I traded it for the JC which I love, transforms the watch to a different level IMHO.

This is exactly my story. Had the black (116660) for about 11 years and hardly ever wore it. I have other dive watches with black dials and just never gravitated towards the 116660 over time. Sold it, got the blue (126660), and wear it much more often.
