YM40 Two Tone

The black dial variant has really peaked my interest lately. I have the YM 40 blue and love it. Had been considering a two tone addition and was looking the Root Beer but remembered the YM40 TT.

Don’t recall seeing a single post around the black dial variant, anyone with first hand experience or pics?

I initially wanted the black dial variant when I tried it on, but then I was in a fortunate situation where my AD the time had the TT in both dial configurations and also a full RG YM40 so I was able to compare and I ended up deciding that the matte black dial worked better on the full gold model...on the TT the chocolate dial ended up feeling more "complete" to me so thats what I ended up picking....would be great if you can compare the two side by side.

YM fan: check.
TT fan: check.
RG fan: not

I find it very attractive, despite my aversion for rose gold. Ideally with the chocolate dial, although black works well too.

Maybe, so many others for me that would be in front of the TT.

For me, the black dial adds more contrast and makes the markers and text pop. Plus it’s a deep matte black that just looks sharp in contrast. The pics of mine show the dial well with contrast, but the rose gold never shows well in pics. This is a watch that always looks better in person.

The chocolate dial is beautiful, but you see more dial and less depth of contrast in my opinion as the markers and hands and text get lost.

This one looks really good. I prefer black dial over the chocolate. I wish I could get one in my AD.
