Agree, Kat. If I did it over again, I'd probably go with your model, or a champaign dial.

I lean blue or black for a versatile/GADA watch. Some might not like two tone aspect of the silver dial. Even though I like it.

Still on a list for a silver dial OP after probably close to 2 years. In comparison, I got an Explorer 40 in about 3 months. They are hard to get at an AD, at least in my experience. Another consideration could be an Aqua Terra. Especially the small seconds. They are beautiful, better priced, and available.

Completely agree. The yellow gold really makes it “pop” and makes it stunning. It’ll be my next Rolex if ever I can get the call!

I would like the Green but AD said they are coming through very slowly but I am on the list and have had stuff from this AD before.

I think I may pop in next week and put my feelers out re the silver also. It looks such a timeless piece

It is absolutely stunning IRL. I hope you get the call soon. One of the best watches in the entire catalogue!

Exactly, trying to make this into a versatile/GADA watch, let alone the most, is such an outlier view. By far the least versatile in comparison to black, blue and silver or white from the previous version. Try wearing this half a two tone piece with your favourite team’s jersey, not a look I’d ever want. Even for formal the white, black or blue are more suitable. Honestly, I understand there are fans who like it but to go down this most versatile road is very odd to me,

Looks amazing - very classy. I do fancy a 41mm version…

An update. I was most surprised to be told by the AD that the one I was looking at will be here in 2 weeks. It's the 41mm Silver.
I placed my "name on the list" in Dec and thought I had months to figure out whether this will be a go or not, but I suppose it's gonna be here and I'm going to have to decide.
While there, I'll look at the Aqua Terra.

I have see the OP physically and it's a lovely watch but this will be the first I'll see the silver dial in 41mm. The others I saw were the 36mm

If there's any tips on what I should look out for, please let me know !

Congrats! I really liked this Aqua Terra…

But if the OP is available, I would probably choose it.

The silver is a really good looking watch, but for me personally I prefer the DJ41. Just seems like a similar look but a little more upscale and interesting.

You will either love it, or not. Simple, as that. Obviously, I loved mine. I had only seen it in Ads, and the catalog, before I got the call.

OK, I will keep all updated. Many have suggested the Aqua Terra and I love the look but I've got 3 Omegas already, so I'm hesitant to get another Omega.

I agree though... when it's on the wrist I'll know. If it grabs me, I'm sure I'll get it.

The entire OP collection is so well constructed and build. It’s the perfect Rolex with all the essence at 6K. That’s why is so popular. I picked 36mm I found 41mm too big and now looks like small, classic sizes are coming back again.

This. Anyone who denigrates the Oyster Perpetual line as “entry level” is wearing Rolex for all the wrong reasons. I love mine as much as my more hyped models that cost twice as much.

I totally agree.

I’m hoping for a 36 from my AD as well.

Nice pic. Really shows off the gold accents. You chose the best color, IMO.

I was at my AD last week and tried on the silver dial OP in both 41 and 36mm sizes. I've decided on the 36mm.

Agree with Kat that IRL the silver dial is a great GADA.
