Help Identify an Air King

Hi,

A friend sent me some photos of an Air King he has had sitting in a box for years. He said he was gifted in about 1982-1987.

Could someone help identify the model and if it has any value other than sentimental?

Thanks very much.

Looks like a 5501. I cannot speak to authenticity.

Thank you.

He had it serviced about 20 years ago at a Rolex dealer, so I guess it is genuine. He just felt it was too small and put it away.

Have him pop the bracelet off and check the serial and case number between the lugs

All the models I could find online had Precision on them so I was afraid he had a watch that was re-dialled or a mix and match.
Thanks for the help, everyone.

The dial may have been washed at some point but without better photos, there is no way to tell

Hi,
Unfortunately, the watch is in the USA and I'm in Ireland. I can ask him to take some better shots and see what I get.

Thanks everyone for the help.
