I own a large safe and it's wonderful knowing that my valuables are tucked away in there and that no one will get to them. Plus the sucker is screwed down to the ground. I would recommend it for people who own jewelry, guns, important documents.

My best safe is a Browning, and there are better ones, and it weights in at 900lbs and is bolted to the floor and wall. Plate construction, 14 1" steel bolts, drill breakers at the dial, high fire rating with heat actuated expandable seals around the door, shelves on one side, tall stuff on the other.. 800 pounds and bolted to the concrete floor.

It will take hours for the bad guys to break in, and by that time somebody should have answered the alarms... but mainly it is fireproof for long enough to get the fire department there to put out any blaze...

If you are going to get something, don't get one that the crook can just walk off with and open at his leisure. it's pointless, except for the small fireproof boxes.

Nice safe Larry, does anyone run dehumidifiers in there safes, I have one in mine but have never had to use and i live on the water...

I like those best Larry, but went the gun safe route due to the special configurations they offer. Would post a picture, but best I do not. Nice safe.

I do not run a dehumidifier.... I live in the Mojave Desert..

We need to run irrigation into the safe to keep stuff from drying out... ()

However, the Liberty Safes are designed with knockouts on the bottom to run electrical cords in for lights or dehumidifiers.....

Man, when I lived in Salt Lake City, boy did I have a nose bleed from time to time. I try not to use the knockouts as they lower the fire rating, even though they have the expansion material. I bought these gel packs designed for safes to remove moisture and that tell you when it is time to plug them in and dry out for use for another week or two. Where I live 80% humidity is the norm in summer.
